New Zealand – Arthur’s Pass

Arthur’s Pass is a very quiet, peaceful town in the mountains. There are various treks to hike there, e.g Avalanche Peak, Billy’s trek, Arthur’s Pass Nature Trail, Devil’s plungepool…etc. The drive around Arthur’s Pass is spectacular too, with it’s mountainous, mysterious backdrop.

I took the TransAlpine train from Christchurch to Arthur’s Pass. The TransAlpine train is well-known for the very beautiful landscape it passes through. It is especially awe-inspiring during winter. Here’re some photos of my train journey to Arthur’s Pass
